BOULDER, Colo. - The Texas Tech women's soccer team was shut out by the Colorado Buffaloes, in Boulder, Colo., this afternoon. The Red Raiders registered four shots on goal in front of a crowd of 857.

The Tech offense posted four shots on goal from three different players. Freshman Priscilla Esquivel had two during the match and freshmen Ashley Reed and Lauren Lothrop had a shot on goal each to their credit. Esquivel now has a total of 15 shots on goal while Reed has tallied six and Lothrop has three on the season.

Junior Megan Knauss started in net for the Red Raiders. She played the first half, allowing five goals and making two saves. Her season save total is now at 30. Knauss came back onto the field in the second half but as a field player. Junior Beth Lippert took over in net for Knauss, allowing two goals and making four saves. Lippert's season save total is now at 39.

Tech soccer continues its road series as it travels to Missouri to face the Tigers, Fri., Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. Tickets for the 2004 season are available by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 742-TECH (8324) or (888) GO-BIG-12.
