RED RAIDERS CONCLUDE REGULAR-SEASON AT OKLAHOMA STATE
Texas Tech and Oklahoma State enter the regular-season finale riding a hot streak as both clubs picked up a series sweep this past weekend. The Red Raiders swept the Missouri Tigers at Dan Law Field while Oklahoma State took three games from arch-rival Oklahoma in the annual Bedlam Series. Tech's series sweep over Missouri gave the Red Raiders a 31-20-1 overall record and moved them into seventh-place in the Big 12 standings with a 9-13-1 record in league play. Oklahoma State stands at 36-15 overall and is currently tied for third place in the Big 12 with a 15-9 record. The Cowboys are ranked as high as No. 13 in this week's Collegiate Baseball Magazine Poll following the sweep over then No. 8 Oklahoma.
The Red Raiders enter the weekend series having already clinched a berth in next week's Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship at Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City. The series at Oklahoma State comes down to seeding as both teams will be jockeying for positions in Oklahoma City. The Red Raiders can jump as high as sixth with a little help from Texas A&M while Oklahoma State can surpass Nebraska for second place with some assistance from Oklahoma. |
