LUBBOCK, Texas - Oklahoma State's Oliver Odle scattered seven hits over eight shutout innings of work to lead the 19th-ranked Cowboys to a 7-0 win over Texas Tech in front of 2,556 fans on Saturday afternoon at Dan Law Field.

The loss is Tech's sixth-straight in Big 12 play as the Red Raiders fell to 7-15 and 26-23 overall. Oklahoma State improved to 15-8 in league play and to 36-13 overall.

The Tech offense was unable to overcome a strong performance by Oliver Odle (6-4) as he scattered just seven hits and struckout six over eight innings of work. The shutout, Tech's first of the season, was held in place by reliever Justin Friend who entered the game with one runner on base and no outs in the ninth.

The only run Oklahoma State actually needed in the game came in the top of the fourth inning when Rebel Ridling laced an RBI single to left field that scored Matt Mangini who reached on a single.

Oklahoma State added two more home runs to their season total on the afternoon as Tyler Mach blasted a two-run shot in the seventh and a three-run dinger in the ninth.

AJ Ramos fell to 8-3 on the season after giving up four runs on 10 hits over seven innings of work. He finished with five strikeouts.

Texas Tech will try and salvage the final game of this series on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
