Texas Tech snapped a season-long four game losing skid with today's 15-6 win over Dallas Baptist. Tech now leads the all-time series against DBU 5-3 and scored a total of 36 runs against the Patriots in the two combined wins (last win was in the Midland College Classic in Feb.).
Sophomore left fielder Chris Richburg became the first Tech player since Michael Mask (April 14, 2004 vs. Howard Payne) to total seven RBIs in a single game.
Richburg joined Roger Kieschnick and Kyle Martin as the only players on the squad to hit a grand slam home run this season.
Sophomore right-fielder Roger Kieschnick is now tied for fifth place on the single-season doubles list at Texas Tech with 24. He also extended his current hit streak to nine games.
