WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS AT RICHMOND, 4-3 ::

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. -- The Temple University women's tennis team dropped another heart-breaking match this time to the University of Richmond, 4-3, Friday evening at the Country Club of Virginia. The loss drops the Owls to 2-13 on the season.

The Spiders, 9-8, started the match by taking two of three doubles matches to claim the team point. Temple responded with wins by Danira Penic, Ana Maslesa and Lara Ercegovic at the one, two and three positions in singles action. Richmond, however, swept the final three singles matches to record the win.

Penic upped her spring singles record to 10-4 while Maslesa posted her team-high 16th singles win of the year. The Croatian duo have combined for a 12-4 mark at first doubles.

TU returns to the courts Saturday when it plays at VCU (1:00 p.m.).
