WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Temple women's gymnastics team (1-5) placed sixth out of seven teams at the George Washington Invitational on Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Smith Center.
The University of North Carolina (192.300) won the event and host George Washington (191.500) placed second. They were followed by Rutgers (189.100), William & Mary (187.150), Rhode Island (186.975), Temple (185.675) and Cornell (184.525).
Temple senior Cicely Warrington led the Owls with a placed fourth in the all-around (37.675) and fifth in the beam (9.675)
Temple will next host Rutgers (6-3) on Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in McGonigle Hall at 7 p.m.
