AMHERST, MA - Junior back Talia Ruth and sophomore forward Lindsay Holman were selected to the Atlantic 10 all-conference field hockey team in voting conducted by the league's coaches. It is the second time that both players have been named to the all-conference team.

Ruth, a starter in all but one game this season, tied for the team lead in goals (four) and second in scoring (eight points). Three of her four goals were game-winners, which placed her third in the conference. She also quarterbacked a backfield that sported a 2.31 GAA average, good for third in the Atlantic 10.

Holman started every contest during her second season on North Broad Street, leading the team in scoring (11 points) and assists (five). She also had two game-winning goals and now has nine goals and five assists for 23 points in her career.

Richmond junior forward Holly Cram and junior teammate Allie Howard were named the 2004 Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, UR's Ange Bradley was named Coach of the Year and Spider senior Michelle Swartz was named Student-Athlete of the Year.

Joining Ruth and Holman on the All-Conference first-team are Cram, Howard, Laura Hur and Michelle La Force of Richmond; Caitlin Beresin, Adrianne Monaco and Christine Tocco of Massachusetts; La Salle's Sara Camilli and Allison Geiger; Joy Hess and Kelly Johnson of Rhode Island; and Saint Joseph's Nicole Antonini, Lauren Luft and Katelyn O'Brien.

The Owls take on top seeded and tenth ranked (NFHCA) Richmond in the A-10 Semifinals on Friday at 5 p.m. Follow all the action online via GameTracker
