LITTLESTOWN, PA - The Temple team golf shot a three round 906 (296-308-302) to finish fourth at the Mount Saint Mary's Invitational, played Friday-Saturday, April 20-21, at Quail Valley Golf Course. Senior co-captain James Boose followed up on a strong performance last weekend with his third career top 10 finish. The Ancaster, Ontario native placed ninth in the 87-player field with a seven-over par 223 (72-76-75) performance.
Sophomore Adam Pifer also continued his string of strong play, placing tied for 11th on the par 72, 7,027-yard course with a 225 (71-80-74) score. Senior Logan Terry (76-77-76) and Junior Paul Amess (77-75-77) finished tied for 22nd with 229 totals. Eric Plisko rounded-out the Cherry & White scorecard, placing tied for 59th with a 241 (81-83-77) total.
Longwood won the tournament with a 881 total, 21 strokes better than host Mount Saint Mary's, which finished second in the 12-team event. Siena finished in the show position with a 903. The Lancers had three players in the top 10 to help them to victory, including individual champion Adam Webb, who finished at even par 216 (72-74-70).
Temple, under the leadership of third-year head coach Brian Rogers, returns to the links at the Atlantic 10 Championship, May 4-6, at Orange County National Golf Course in Winter Garden, Fla.
