ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Temple golf team was looking forward to improving on Friday's first round 317 (+33) score during Saturday's final round in the Navy Spring Invitational at the Unites States Naval Academy Golf Course. Unfortunately for the Owls, their opening round score became their final score when Saturday's action was cancelled after snow showers fell overnight. Temple's 18-hole total placed it tied for 17th in the 25 team field.

Sophomore Adam Pifer carded a three-over 74 on the 6,528-yard course to finish tied for sixth and provide TU its first top 10 performance of the spring season. It marked the Telford, Pa. native's fourth career top 10 finish.

Junior Paul Amess also performed well for the Cherry and White, placing tied for 31st in the 130-player field with a six-over par 77. Senior co-captain James Boose (t-100th, 83), sophomore Eric Plisko (t-100th, 83), and senior co-captain Logan Terry (t-106th, 84), comprised the rest of the scorecard.

St. Bonaventure (300, +16) became the 17th different institution to win the team title in 28 years of playing the event with its 1-stroke advantage over Longwood. Seton Hall's Kyle Morris took home the individual crown with a 2-under par 69, the only player on Friday to shoot under par. He became the second player from Seton Hall to win the individual title, joining Eugene Smith who finished the tournament 1-under (141) in 1999 and led the Pirates to the team title, as well.

Temple, under the leadership of third-year head coach Brian Rogers, returns to the links at the Princeton Invitational, April 14-15, at Springdale Country Club. The Owls have history of success in the tournament, having won the event five times in program history.
