ATHENS, Ga. - The No. 4 seeded TCU duo of Ana Cetnik and Anna Sydorska advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Individual Doubles Championship on Saturday with a 6-3, 7-5 defeat of Pepperdine's No. 38 ranked pair of Bianca Dulgheru and Sylvia Kosakowski at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

"Ana and Anna came up against a really good team today that had beaten them in the fall in a really tight match," said TCU head coach Jefferson Hammond. "Today was another tight match, and we served well, played well and stayed hungry. We fought hard to come back in the second set, and stayed positive, and having the right attitude made the difference."

The duo won their third straight match of the Championships, and will face the tournament's No. 2 seed of Sara Anundsen and Jenna Long of UNC on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT. The Frog duo met Anundsen and Long earlier this season on Feb. 1, falling 8-4. The Tarheels advanced to the semifinals after knocking off Notre Dame's No. 12 ranked duo of Catrina and Christian Thompson.

Cetnik and Sydorska won the first set with relative ease before falling behind 3-1 early in the second frame. The Frogs managed to tie the match at 3-3, but the Pepperdine duo fought back to push the score to 5-3. Cetnik and Sydorska then rallied to win four consecutive games and punch their ticket to the semifinals.

With the win, Cetnik claimed her 35th doubles victory of the season to set a new TCU record. Cetnik passed Angela Bartzen and Janie Bowen, who won 34 doubles matches during the 1979-80 season. Sydorska secured doubles win No. 34 of the season, tying for second on the all-time list. Cetnik also posted her 96th career doubles win and 175th career combined victory, which places third and seventh, respectively, in the TCU record book.

The Frogs will make only the second appearance in the semifinals in the program's history, as Cetnik and Story Tweedie-Yates fell in three sets to Barnes and Burdette of Stanford in 2005.
