FORT WORTH, Texas - For the 19th-straight semester, TCU's women's swimming and diving team has been honored as an Academic All-America Swimming Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

In order to be considered for the award, a team must compile a combined grade point average of at least 2.8. TCU was one of 179 teams nationwide that met the criteria for the fall semester.

Squads that qualify are recognized in one of three distinctions: commendable, excellent or superior. With a team GPA of 3.14, the Frogs receive the honor with a ranking of excellent.

"It is quite an honor for our team to achieve this distinction for the 19th-straight semester," TCU head coach Richard Sybesma. "The ladies truly embodied the term 'student-athletes' by competing as well as they did this season in a new conference in addition to keeping up the standard of academic excellence."

In the pool, the Lady Frogs finished 10-3 in dual meets this season and placed third in the inaugural Conference USA Championships.
