Torda named to All-Freshman Central Regional Team

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU forward Jackie Torda has been selected to Soccer Buzz Magazine's All-Freshman Central Regional Team, as announced by the publication on Friday.
Torda, a freshman from Colleyville, was TCU's team leader in goals with nine and points with 21. She posted a conference-best three goals against Prairie View A&M, while also netting the game-winning goal in overtime against Houston on national television. Toda recorded a stretch during the year in which she scored goals in seven of TCU's 10 contests. Her selection marks the second consecutive season in which a TCU freshman has been honored by Soccer Buzz. Sophomore Michelle Nguyen was named to the all-freshman squad following the 2006 season.
Torda was one of 16 freshman selected to the Central Regional Team.
