Fort Worth, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs soccer team will open up the home portion of their schedule today against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. This marks the 11th meeting between the schools, with the Red Raiders holding a 6-2-2 advantage against the Frogs. Game time is set for 1 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.

The Frogs are coming off a 2-0 win over Centenary College. TCU is hoping to continue its winning ways and open up the home schedule with a victory. The Horned Frogs have won three straight versus Texas Tech.

Moore and Walsh Connect
*With the game tied at 0-0, Jessi Moore (Jr. Arlington, Texas) payed dividends on Wednesday as she connected for the Frogs first goal of the season. In the 12th minute, Moore connected on a blocked shot taken by Amy Van Zandt (Jr., Fort Worth, Texas). Her goal proved to be the game-winner as the Frogs won 2-0. Elizabeth Walsh (So., Dallas, Texas) connected with just over two minutes left to give the Frogs the insurance goal they needed.

Two Combine For One
*The freshman goalkeeping combo had a strong outting versus Centenary as Jennifer Sims (The Colony, Texas) and Katie Buchanan (Plano, Texas) each played a half between the pipes combining for the Frogs first shutout of the season. Sims started the game for the Frogs and faced two shots that went wide. Buchanan made the only save of the night as she faced two shots as well.

Tough on D, Strong on O
*The Frog defense made a statement on Wednesday, posting their first shutout of the season, holding the Ladies to just four shots, one on goal. Both Kelly Potysman (Jr., Fort Worth, Texas) and Bara Gunnarsdottir (So., Kopavogur, Iceland) each made sparkling defensive plays to help preserve the shutout. The offense got rolling to, as they connected for 18 shots, seven on goal and two goals.

*Sunday's meeting with the Red Raiders will mark the 11th meeting between the two teams. Texas Tech holds a 6-2-2 advantage. In Fort Worth, the Horned Frogs hold a 3-1 advantage. The Frogs have won three straight over the Red Raiders. Their last loss to Texas Tech was on September 25, 1998.

Scouting The Red Raiders
The Texas Tech Red Raiders are 0-2 on the season, coming off of back-to-back shutout losses to open up the 2003 campaign. The Red Raiders dropped their opening match to Oral Roberts 3-0 and suffered a 2-0 blanking at SMU on Friday night. Megan Knauss has made 13 saves in goal for the Red Raiders, but has allowed all five goals.
