WAIMANALO, Hawai'i (March 30, 2001) -- The TCU women's golf team used a solid score of 299 on the final day to finish in fifth place among 18 teams at the Dr. Thompson Rainbow Tournament held in Waimanalo, Hawai'i. The Frogs' score was one of just six sub-300 rounds recorded during the entire tourney.

Junior Jennifer Patterson scorched the course on the final day, landing a 70, which tied for the second-best score of the event. As a result, she moved from 19th place into a sixth, a career best finish. Patterson's 223 was seven strokes off the pace set by Arizona's Natalie Gulbis (216).

TCU freshman Brooke Tull completed the best tournament of her career by logging a 76 on the final 18 holes. Her three-day total of 226 placed her in a tie for 10th place overall. The Frogs' other competitors included: freshman Courtney Wood (T21st-230), sophomore Shannon Barr (T29th-233) and senior Brenda Anderson (T37th-236).

Oklahoma State (895) erased a seven-stroke deficit on the final day to claim the team title over Arizona (898). Five of the tournament's teams, including TCU, are listed in the nation's Top 20 according to both the Golfweek/Sagarin and Mastercard rating services.

TCU next appears in the Lady Sun Devil Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona on April 7-9.
