Parrish, Fla. - The Horned Frog women's golfers set out today in an 8 a.m. gunshot start to a 36-hole first day of the Central District Classic. The host, Michigan State, and TCU are joined by 13 big-name schools in collegiate golf: Arkansas, Baylor, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, LSU, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Wisconsin. Senior Brooke Tull, sophomore Traci Robison, and freshmen Camille Blackerby, Stacey Bieber, and Elin Emanuelsson represent TCU.

Each Frog is grouped with a golfer from Kansas State and Indiana. In addition to today's 36 holes, the tournament wraps up tomorrow with 18 holes for a total of 54. The second round today starts off at 1 p.m. Ohio State won the classic last year with a 312-306-291=909 score with Kristen White of Ohio State taking the individual title in 77-72-69=218; the Frogs did not participate.
