FORT WORTH, Texas - The 24th ranked TCU men's tennis team will be heading to Waco, Texas for the 2003 NCAA Regional Tournament May 10-11.

TCU will take on C-USA opponent South Florida in the first round. TCU beat South Florida at the 2003 C-USA Championships 4-1 on April 18.

TCU holds a 1-1 all time record against South Florida, who is currently ranked 43rd by the ITA.

The four-team field in Waco consists of host school No. 3 Baylor, No. 24 TCU, No. 43 South Florida, and UT-Arlington. Baylor and UTA will face each other in the first round.

TCU junior Alex Menichini is among three TCU singles ranked by the ITA, he stands at No. 81. Menichini is followed by senior Toni Gordon at No. 86 and sophomore Fabrizio Sestini at No. 119.

TCU also has a doubles team in the ITA rankings, the duo of Gordon and Sestini is ranked 49th.

There are 64 total teams participating at 16 regional sites throughout the U.S. The NCAA Championship Tournament will take place in Athens, Ga. May 16-25.
