Parkinson and Ewert stand out in sprints

DALLAS, Texas (January 24, 2001) - The TCU men's swimming and diving teams faced cross-town foe, SMU, Wednesday night at Perkins Natatorium on the SMU campus. The 22nd ranked Mustangs defeated the Frogs by a score of 119-81.

Shining for the Frogs were sophomore Jeff Parkinson who won the 100 freestyle with a time of (:46.97). Parkinson also garnered a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle (1:42.52).

Frog star Aaron Ewert, also a sophomore, touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke with a time of (:50.72).

The men's team will face another in-state opponent next weekend, when they travel to Austin to face the #1 ranked Texas Longhorns on February 2nd.
