FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU Men's swimming and diving teams fared well in the pool Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth. The Frogs were defeated by the No. 10 nationally-ranked Florida Gators in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. The final tally was 128-100.

Frog standouts in the pool included sophomore Aaron Ewert, currently ranked 15th nationally in the 200 backstroke. He won the event with a time of 1:49.69. Ewert also swam the lead leg of both the 200 freestyle relay, helping the Frogs to a first-place finish (1:25.48), and the 200 medley relay, in which the Frogs took home second-place (1:32.46).

Junior Scott Adkins, also nationally-ranked at No. 15 in the 200 breaststroke touched the wall first in the event with a time of 2:04.78. Adkins was also a member of the 200 medley relay team.

Jeff Parkinson, a sophomore, was also a first-place finisher for the Frogs in the 100 freestyle (:46.88), and swam the anchor leg of the 200 medley relay.

The meet marked the final home swim for senior Frog Ryan Mammarella, the lone current three-year letterwinner and captain of the 2000-2001 Frogs.
