DADE CITY, Fla. - No. 10 TCU increased its advantage to 15 strokes heading into the third and final round of the Conference USA Men's Golf Championship at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla. The Horned Frogs, who are seeking their fourth straight conference title, posted a tourney-best two-under 286 for the second straight day.

Senior Adam Meyer, who was the conference runner up in 2003, enjoyed another outstanding afternoon with a three-under 69. Meyer, the only player in the field to break par on both days, owns a seven-stroke lead through the first 36 holes thanks to a seven-under total of 137. The senior from China Spring, Texas, is in search of his second individual crown as a TCU player and first this season.

Tied for third place individually with 36-hole scores of 145 (+1) are a pair of Frogs, sophomore Colby Beckstrom and junior David Schultz. Beckstrom, who began the day in second position, had a 76 on day two, while Schultz moved up the leaderboard with an even-par 72.

Junior J.J. Killeen also scooted up the leaderboard, moving into a tie for 12th. His Tuesday card of 72 gives him a two-round sum of 148 (+4). Senior Stephen Polanski sits in a share of 23rd place after a second-round 73. His one-over score included a four-putt on the 18th green. The leaderboard looks similar to last year, when all five TCU golfers placed among the event's top 25.

Second-place Charlotte (587) and third-place Southern Miss (591) are also in contention for the team title. The tournament's winning team receives an automatic bid to the 2004 NCAA Regionals. The Horned Frogs have advanced to the regionals each of the past 14 seasons under head coach Bill Montigel, and have reached the NCAA Championships nine times over that span.

The men's golf team is attempting to become the first TCU athletics team to win four straight league titles since the men's tennis team accomplished the feat from 1994-1997. No live scoring is available on the internet. TCU will tee off beginning at 8:30 a.m. Results will be posted on www.gofrogs.com following Wednesday's final round.
