The TCU Horned Frogs are ranked in the top 25 in the final Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Coaches polls for the second straight season. It marks the first time since the 1950s that TCU has earned that distinction in back-to-back seasons.

The Frogs, who finished the 2003 season with an 11-2 record, are ranked 25th in the final AP Poll with 126 points, placing just behind Florida (165) and just ahead of Oklahoma State (109). The Frogs finished 24th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll with 145 points, ranking between Bowling Green (170) and Florida (124). Last season, TCU, with a 10-2 record, finished the year as the 23rd-ranked team by the Associated Press and 22nd according to the coaches' poll.

TCU and Boise State became the first schools from a non-BCS conference to post back-to-back AP top 25 seasons in 12 years. The last time TCU finished ranked in the AP poll in back-to-back season was 1958 (10th) and 1959 (7th).

The 2003 season also marked the third time in the last four years that TCU finished the season with at least 10 wins and ranked among the nation's top 25. The 2000 squad posted a 10-2 record and was ranked 21st in the final AP poll.
