TCU Volleyball Fans Encouraged to Wear Baseball Caps to Fort Worth Invitational
Nov. 24, 2004 Fort Worth, Texas - TCU Volleyball invites all fans attending this weekend's Fort Worth Plaza Invitational to wear baseball caps in support of the team. TCU volleyball hats will be available for purchase, but head coach Prentice Lewis says all caps will be a sign of support. "The hats will be a great physical sign of fan support in both our program and in me, personally," Coach Lewis commented. Last March, Coach Lewis underwent brain surgery to remove an abscess. She has worn a baseball cap over a hard fitted helmet all season. TCU volleyball caps will be for sale at $7 apiece on Friday and Saturday. The Fort Worth Plaza Invitational features TCU, SMU, Arkansas, and Fairfield. Matches are scheduled at 4 and 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday. Saturday's final match, featuring TCU and Fairfield, is the Horned Frogs' final home match of the 2004 season, and will be followed by a brief ceremony celebrating the play of seniors Ellen Rehme and Dominika Szabo. www.gofrogs.com
