FORT WORTH, Texas - Head volleyball coach Prentice Lewis announced the arrival of transfer Ellen Rehme to the TCU volleyball program. Rehme comes to Fort Worth after spending two seasons at the University of Florida. The 6'1" opposite played prep volleyball at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, Ind.

"We are pleased to have a great transfer athlete such as Ellen Rehme," said Lewis. "She comes to TCU with top Division one experience, as well as a trip to the Final Four this past season."

"She adds maturity to a position that will make us better immediately," Lewis continued. "Ellen begins the process of transformation for TCU volleyball. Our future at TCU is looking bright and promising."

While at Florida, Rehme played in 26 of 37 matches in her sophomore season and 25 of 30 matches as a freshman. Prior to her arrival at Florida, she was a member of the 2000 Junior National Training Team. Rehme was named a 2000 High School All-American, as well as earning all-state (1999-2000) and all-city (1998-2000) volleyball honors. She also played prep basketball and competed in track.
