Fort Worth, Texas - TCU swimmer Tiffany Strawn has been awarded the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for her athletic and academic achievements. Last season in the pool, the Katy, Texas, native guided the H2O Frogs to a runner-up finish at the C-USA Championships in Houston. In the classroom, she has helped the women's team extend its streak of receiving the CSCAA Academic Award to 24 straight semesters.

The NCAA awards 174 postgraduate scholarships annually, 87 for men and 87 for women. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition.

To be eligible for this honor, the student-athletes must have performed with distinction as a member of their varsity teams and have a minimum grade-point average of 3.2000 (based on a 4.000 scale). The recipients must also intend to continue their academic work beyond the baccalaureate degree as a part-time or full-time graduate student.

At the 2005 C-USA Championships, Strawn earned all-conference honors in three events. She was the runner-up in the 100-backstroke (57.49) as well as being a member on the second place 200-medley relay (1:44.70). In addition, she earned the bronze medal in the 200-backstroke in 2:04.21.

The four-year letterwinner was the co-recipient of the team's "Most Valuable Team Contributor Award" along with fellow senior Aimee Moreau. The pair also earned the Strength and Conditioning All-America Award.
