COLUMBIA, Mo. -- TCU men's divers R.J. Hesselberg and Kelly McCain finished among the top 10 in the 3-meter diving event at the Zone D Diving Regional on Friday in Columbia, Mo. Hesselberg, a freshman, placed sixth with a score of 570.50, while McCain, a senior, posted a 521.55 to take eighth place.

Qualification for the NCAA Championships is dependent on a diver's qualifying at the Zone meet. In this year's Zone D meet, there are five spots available on the men's side and six slots for women to earn an NCAA berth. Last year, McCain became the first male diver in school history to advance to the NCAA Championships.

The competition begins again on Saturday when the men will dive from the 1-meter board at 10 a.m. and the women will take to the 3-meter later in the day. Sunday will feature men's and women's platform diving, beginning at 10 a.m. with the women, and finishing up with the men in the afternoon.
