IRVINE, Calif. - The TCU women's swimming team continued its successful campaign by winning the team title at the 26th annual UC Irvine/Ayres Hotel & Suites Relay Invitational Sunday afternoon at the Anteaters Aquatics Complex. The TCU men finished fourth, but established two meet records in the process.

The TCU women used depth in order to earn the team victory, earning precious points from the Frogs' "B", "C" and "D" relay teams, in addition to those received from the "A" squads. TCU's 430 points were 25 more than host school UC Irvine and nearly 100 more than third-place finisher San Diego State. The Horned Frogs had first-place finishes in two of the 10 events, the 4x200 freestyle relay (7:47.13) and the 4x50 free relay (1:38.33).

In addition, the women placed second in the 200 medley relay (1:51.02), 3x100 breaststroke (3:26.70), 3x100 backstroke (3:01.58), 800 freestyle relay (8:04.73) and 4x100 free relay (3:38.84).

On the men's side, Texas A&M won the relay title with 439 points. Cal Poly (348), UC Irvine (319) and TCU (294) rounded out the scoring.

The Frog men blazed through the 3x100 butterfly with a meet-record time of 2:34.24. Teylor Arboleda, George Gooch and Yousif Del Valle comprised the record-setting squad. TCU also broke the invitational mark in the 3x100 individual medley (2:40.24) courtesy of Aran Bean, Guillermo Ramirez and Arboleda.

Other top finishes for the men included third-place efforts in the 3x100 backstroke (2:42.10), 4x200 free relay (7:16.83) and 400 medley relay (3:31.78).

In the diving competition, TCU's Kelly Seely won the 1-meter event, while the Horned Frogs' R.J. Hesselberg and Kelly McCain went 1-2 on the men's 3-meter board.
