COMMERCE,TX - Colleen Favaro, middle blocker for the Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions was selected as the Lone Star Conference Offensive Volleyball Player of the Week, for the week of October 4th thru the 8th, the conference announced on Tuesday .

Favaro tied a career high Saturday, with 34 kills in the win over Midwestern State, setting the mark for the Lions this season. She also averaged 5.0 kills over 12 games for the week. In the MSU win, Favaro hit over 56.6 percent, leading the Lions to their first LSC North win this season, with 12 kills in the fourth game alone.

The Lions will continue conference play this Thursday, when they travel to Lawton, Oklahoma, to face Cameron University, and then they will head to Edmond to face the University of Central Oklahoma's Lady Bronchos on Saturday.
