VB LIONS SPLIT FIRST DAY IN ARIZONA
Sept. 2, 2005 PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Texas A&M University-Commerce Lions dropped the first match of the day in three games to Western New Mexico at the Grand Canyon Cactus Classic, but came back to claim a 3-1 win over Colorado Christian (24-30, 30-23, 30-20, 30-27). The Lions (3-3) conclude the second day with the tournament hosting Antelopes in the morning session and the Ft. Lewis (Colo.) Skyhawks in the afternoon. The Lions return home to face Henderson State for a 7 p.m. match Sept. 6.
