2006: Third on the team with 236 digs, fourth with 21 block assists and fifth with 157 kills and 25 blocks...had six double-digit kills efforts, including three-straight matches against Midwestern State (Sept. 23), Cameron (Sept. 28) and Central Oklahoma (Sept. 30)...Lions posted a 4-2 record when she had double-figure kills...had a season-high 17 kills on 36 attempts in the four-game victory over Midwestern State...against Lone Star Conference teams, she hit .125...recorded four double-double performances on the season...tallied a season-high 24 digs in the five-game victory over Dallas Baptist (Sept. 9)...shared in season-high honors with Brittany Williams with five service aces against Tarleton State (Sept. 1).
Prior to TAMU-C: Named Female Athlete of the Year and Female Student/Athlete of the Year at Neosho Community College as a sophomore...also earned NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American honors...in 36 matches, she recorded 260 kills, 282 digs and 66 blocks en route to second team all-conference honors...honorable mention all-conference as a freshman...earned all-tournament honors twice at the Central Nebraska Tournament...in high school, she was a first-team all-conference and team captain as a senior...as a senior, they were sub-state champions...a three-year letterwinner in softball and two-year letterwinner in basketball, in addition to her participation in volleyball Personal: Born April 30, 1986...daughter of C.E. and Sally Starkweather...a physical therapy major. |
