Sophomore Melissa DoRemus earned first team All-Lone Star Conference honors on Friday for the second-straight year.
 
 
Texas A&M-Commerce Tandem Earn First Team Lone Star Conference Honors

Texas A&M-Commerce junior defender Tamara Geels and sophomore midfielder Melissa DoRemus were selected for recognition on the All-Lone Star Conference women's soccer team that were announced Friday by league officials.

For DoRemus, it is her second-straight, first-team selection and for Tamara Geels, it is her first first-team honor after earning second-team accolades, last year. Regular season champion Central Oklahoma landed eight players on the 14-player first team.

The Lions were also represented on the second team by senior goalkeeper Amber Ramoz and junior forward Bailey Geels. For Bailey Geels, it is her second-straight, second-team honor and the first for Ramoz. In addition, sophomore midfielder Jessica Pierce was selected honorable mention.

Currently, A&M-Commerce is playing at the Lone Star Conference Tournament in Edmond, Oklahoma and will face No. 2 seed West Texas A&M in a semifinal match on Friday at noon.
