The Texas A&M-Commerce men's golf team finished fifth at the Texoma Match Play Championship, dropping a 5-4 decision to host Southeastern Oklahoma State at the 7,085-yard, par-72 Chickasaw Pointe Golf Resort in Kingston, Oklahoma.

Freshman Chase Johnson wrapped up a strong start to his first fall campaign, winning his head-to-head match up at No. 3 singles and teaming up with senior Ryan Jaco to win in four ball.

Fellow freshman Sean Williams won his singles match 1 up at No. 6 and teammates Ryan Jaco and sophomore Blake Worden tied in their matches at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively.

Central Oklahoma won the tournament, winning all three of its matches.

The Lions will now turn their attention towards preparing for the spring season.
