The Texas A&M-Commerce men's golf team is in fourth place entering Tuesday's final round of the WTAMU Men's Golf Invitational. The Lions shot a 36-hole total of 610 (302-308) and trail leader Western New Mexico by 22 strokes, who posted a 588 (292-296). WNMU leads host West Texas A&M by two strokes.

Texas A&M-Commerce is led by freshman Chase Johnson, who shot a 151 (75-76) and nine-over par, who is tied for eighth with four others. He trails individual leader Kent Neal of West Texas A&M, who shot a two-under 140 (71-69). Freshman Brian Pearce is a stroke behind Johnson and tied for 13th with three others with a 152 (77-75).

Senior Ryan Jaco and sophomore Blake Worden are tied for 19th at 12-over par 154. Worden shot a 75 in the opening round, matching Johnson for the best first 18 holes in the Lions lineup and finished with 79 in the second 18; meanwhile, Jaco shot a 76 and 78. Rounding out the lineup for the Lions was Andy Carter, who posted a 162 (76-86).
 

 

The final round will be played Tuesday morning at La Paloma Golf Club with the first pair teeing off at 8:32 a.m. and the final duo at 9:52 a.m.
