Brad Hambrick Signs with A&M-Commerce

The Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball coaching staff announced on Monday the signing of Brad Hambrick from Sherman, Texas.

Hambrick, a 6-foot guard, was the top three-point shooter in Class 4A and the second-leading scorer in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex in 2006-07. As a junior, he averaged 23 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals a game. Sherman enters the 2007-08 season ranked No. 9 in the state's pre-season TABC poll.

Hambrick is currently ranked 32nd in the state by Texashoops.com, making him one of the highest ranked players that the Lions have signed out of high school. In the summer, he played for the Dallas Mustangs.

His father, Dr. Al Hambrick earned his doctoral degree from A&M-Commerce. He is the superintendent of schools in Sherman and was recognized as an alumni ambassador by the at A&M-Commerce Educational Leadership Department in the spring of 2007.
