With the winter break nearly over, members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball team spent the morning of Tuesday, January 8th at Commerce Elementary School.

Throughout the morning, members of the team traveled throughout the elementary school reading books to students from pre-kindergarten to second grade.

The Lions ended their visit with a trip to the Commerce Elementary School library.

In addition to reading books, the student-athletes talked to the students about their roles and responsibilities as a student-athlete. Each class was also presented with a poster and invited to attend upcoming Lions games.
