COMMERCE, Texas - A&M-Commerce (10-4) fell short to the Midwestern Mustangs Saturday afternoon 79-76, in another close matchup.

The Lions were down 38-32 at halftime and came back early in the second to tie the game at 40. But the Mustangs would prevail at the end. With just 2:13 left in the game, center Eric Dawson hit a shot behind the arc to put MSU up 73-70. Senior Jermart Miller came back and answered a three point shot after being fouled on by the Mustangs Eric Dawson to put the Lions within two, 75-73 with 40 seconds left.

A&M-Commerce who is known to come back from behind and pull the win, was not given the chance tonight, as three Lions fouled within less than one minute in order to stop the clock and attempt a come back.

Jermart Miller kept his double figure streak alive, scoring 11 points. It was his 16th consecutive game where he has scored double digits. Chris Fantroy also tallied double digits for the night with 10.
