The very first Golf World/NGCA Division III Coaches' Poll was released on Wednesday (Mar. 7) and the SU women's golf team is ranked 11th in the nation.

The Pirates totaled 136 points in the poll, 89 points behind #1 Methodist University who received all nine number one votes. SU immediately follows fellow Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference member Oglethorpe University in 10th place. One other SCAC school is ranked, DePauw University is third in the rankings.

The top-five is Methodist, Gustavus Adolphus, DePauw, Saint Thomas and Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The poll is based on selections by nine women's coaches from across the country.
