AAMU Lady Bulldogs Outmatched

The Lady Bulldogs of Alabama A&M received an automatic bid to the 2002 NCAA Volleyball Tournament when they defeated Alcorn State at the SWAC Volleyball Championship Tournament November 15,2002.
On December 6, 2002, facing a team ranked No. 14 in the nation by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the Wisconsin Badgers beat Alabama A&M at Wisconsin 30-17, 30-13, 30-15 in the first round of play, in a match that lasted just over an hour.
The Lady Bulldogs held only one lead, at 3-2 in the first game, and no Alabama A&M player registered double- digit kills. Kneckie Stallsworth led the team with eight. In all three games, the Lady Bulldogs were trailing by at least nine points by the time Wisconsin reached 20.
(The Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs, after three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, have yet to advance to second- round tournament action).
Alabama A&M ends their season at 24-8.
