Bobcats Lose to Seahawks for Third Time

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Northwood University (Fla.) volleyball team picked up its third win of the season against St. Thomas Wednesday, defeating the Bobcats, 3-0 (30-19, 30-20, 30-25) in Florida Sun Conference volleyball action at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center.

The Seahawks improve to 8-17 overall and 4-5 in conference play with the win. The Bobcats, meanwhile, fall to 4-12 on the season with a 4-6 mark in league play.

Junior outside hitter Karlene Diaz paced the Seahawks attack with 14 kills while sophomore setter Danielle Senopole chipped in 12. Senopole added a team-high 13 digs to record the double-double, as she was of three Seahawk players to reach double digits in that category. Junior setter Alyssa Breviario dished out 33 assists.

Junior outside hitter Nicole Hubbard led St. Thomas' offensive efforts with nine kills while junior setter Liz Harney handed out 14 assists. Hubbard also recorded a team-high nine digs while Harney and freshman outside hitter Kayla Fraguela each added six.

The Bobcats will be in Georgia for the Savannah College Art and Design Tournament and will take on the #20 Savannah College of Art and Design at noon Saturday.
