St. Thomas Falls to Hot Embry-Riddle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Jenn Meglic recorded 12 kills and hit .526 to lead the Embry-Riddle University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 victory against St. Thomas University (Fla.) (30-17, 30-26, 30-22) Saturday afternoon in Florida Sun Conference action from the ICI Center. 

 

Meglic, who leads the team in both kills per game (2.88) and hitting percentage (.279) on the season, helped ERAU post its fifth-straight match win improving to 6-6 overall and 3-0 in conference play. 

 

The Eagles offensive attack was balanced with the leadership from setter Marissa Gonzales who spread her 33 assists to six players.  April Ebanks posted seven kills, Mia Jaramillo and Savannah Trakes added six apiece and Jenni Nelsen finished with five kills.  

 

Ashlee Guerrero led the way for St. Thomas (1-4 overall, 1-2 FSC) with 12 kills and added seven digs and two total blocks.  Liz Harney led the team with 17 assists

 

The Lady Bobcats will entertain Northwood on Wednesday night.
