Bobcats Fall to Cross-town Rival Barry 9-2

April 19, 2005

Box Score

MIAMI GARDENS, FL- St. Thomas University couldn't earn a season split with rival Barry as they lost 9-2. The Buccaneers were able to string together key hits to slowly break the game open throughout the first six innings; the Bobcats couldn't score until the eighth inning.

The Bobctas went through four pitchers, having reliever Kyle Preshong taking the blunt of the runs, and ultimately the loss (2-1). Preshong gave up seven hits which led to five earned runs between the second and fifth innings.

At the plate, no batter was consistent enough to get more than one hit. Richard Lengel and and Jorge R. Lago were the only two Bobcats to knock in a run.

The Bobcats fell to 29-17 and are on a modest, yet untimely two-game losing streak-still looking to reach the 30-win plateau.
