As a freshman Gonzalez was named Rookie of the Year and Best Defensive player his sophomore and junior seasons. While attending Miami Killian Senior High Gonzalez was awarded Golden Glove honors his junior and senior seasons. In his free time he enjoys fishing. His most memorable moments in sports are going to NAIA World Series and State Championship in high school. He plans to get his masters degree after graduation. His favorite food is sushi and player is Cal Ripken Jr.
