Stony Brook, N.Y. - Senior outside hitter Jackie Ahlers (Stony Point, N.Y.) was named America East Volleyball Player of the Week for the second consecutive time the league office announced Monday. She has now won the award four times this season.

Ahlers tallied 31 kills in a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Albany Saturday, just five kills shy of the conference-best mark in a five-game match this season. Ahlers hit at a .403 clip, putting home eight of her kills in the deciding fifth game.

She led the conference last week in both kills per game (6.20) and points per game (6.20) while helping the Seawolves extend their win streak to seven games and keep their top spot in the conference standings.

The Seawolves will return to action on Friday, hosting Maine at 7 p.m.
