Sweany Named ECAC Player Of The Week

Morgan Sweany, a sophomore outside hitter from Mission Viejo, California, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

Sweany, who was also named America East Conference player of the week for the second consecutive week, lead the Seawolves to a second-place finish in the Marist Invitational where she was named to the all-tournament team. She averaged an impressive 5.75 kills per game, 2.83 digs per game and 6.29 points per game. In the opening match, Sweany posted a double-double with 12 kills and 14 digs to lead SBU to an opening round win. She tallied 19 kills and six digs in a second match victory over the tournament host Marist. To finish out the tournament, Sweany hit a match-high 19 kills with a .341 attack percentage.
