New Haven, Conn. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team fell to Boston University, 5-0, in the America East semifinals Saturday afternoon at the Connecticut Indoor Tennis Center. BU advances to the America East finals while Stony Brook's season came to an end.

At No. 1 singles, Laura Ahmes defeated Hana Chovanova 6-4, 7-5 and at No. 2 singles Gina Sabatino downed Anne Catherine Valle, 6-3, 6-2.

Erin Katims defeated Sandy Wijeratne, 6-2, 6-4, at No. 3 singles while Monica Myers fell to Katarina Draganova, 6-0, 6-3. Aimee Charest swept the singles matches with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Victoria Vovsha.

The match ended in a 5-0 decision because two of the matches ended simultaneously
