Women's Tennis Falls In Day 2 of America East Tournament

New Haven, Conn. - The Stony Brook women's tennis team fell to Boston University in the semifinals of the America East Championships on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped the Seawolves five-match winning streak and gives them a final record of 11-7 in 2006.

Boston swept both doubles matches to claim the point and then won the first three singles matches to complete the win.

Erica Federgreen paired up with Victoria Vasile and fell, 8-2, at No. 2 doubles and Monica Myers and Victoria Vovsha fell, 8-0, at No. 3 doubles. In singles, Hana Chovanova lost at No. 1, 6-3, 6-4, Myers fell at No. 4, 6-3, 6-4 and Vasile lost at No. 5, 6-2, 6-0.

The Seawolves finish the season with a 11-7 overall record and a 3-3 record in America East play.
