Stony Brook advanced to the America East Women's Tennis Championship with a 4-0 win over Binghamton at the Connecticut Tennis Center in New Haven, Conn.

The Seawolves will now play seven-time defending champion and top seed Boston University in the championship match. That match will be played Sunday at 9 a.m. if the event is outdoors. If weather forces the championship match inside, the Terriers and Seawolves will meet at 10:30 a.m. Boston University was a 7-0 winner over Vermont in its semifinal match.

The Seawolves picked up the doubles team point as Martha Barrett and Karen Hansen defeated Grace Wu and Amy Weissberg, 8-6 and Patricia Gomez and Georgia Bushell downed Kristin Jobe and Amy Linda, 8-3. The Bearcats took the third doubles match in the best-two-of-three scoring as Jen Monaco and Jen Sussman beat Olesya Ianovitch and Deanna Ghozati, 8-5.

Stony Brook received singles wins from Gomez, Bushell and Ghozati in posting the 4-0 win. Gomez defeated Janine Sadaka, 6-4, 6-0 at number two singles. Bushell was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Alexis Brill at number four singles. Ghozati won her number six singles match over Monaco, 6-3, 6-0. Barrett, Hansen and Jobe all had their singles matches stopped when the team result was decided.
