Binghamton, NY-- - Stony Brook (12-8) opened its three-match set Friday with an upset of Binghamton, 5-2, and went on to beat Albany on Saturday, 4-0, improving to 12-8 on the season. The Seawolves fell to Colgate on Saturday in its first match, 5-1.

Martha Barrett won her sixth and seventh straight matches with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Janine Sadaka of Binghamton and with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Lauren Erikson of Colgate. Barrett was ahead, 6-2, 1-1, in her match with Albany's Violeta Petrijevic, but the match was not finished.

Barabara Affertsholt and Karen Hansen also won twice. Affertsholt handled Albany's Erinn Langford, 6-0, 6-1 and Binghamton's Kari Gabrielson, 6-0, 6-4. At #3 singles, hansen defeated Albany's Ilissa Strovolitz, 6-0, 6-0 and Binghamton's Amy Weissberg, 3-6, 6-1 (10-5).

The Seawolves finish off the dual match season against Queens College at home on Tuesday and had to the MCTC's on Friday.
