Stony Brook, N.Y. - Kaitlin Leggio was named the America East Rookie of the Week in women's lacrosse, the league announced on Monday afternoon. Leggio has earned at least a share of the award three times this season, including each of the last two weeks to close out the regular season.

Leggio fueled the Seawolves offense once again last week as the freshman tallied 10 points on eight goals and two assists to go with seven ground balls in a 1-1 week for Stony Brook. She began the week with a goal and two assists to go with five ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers in a loss to No. 17 Hofstra before setting the Stony Brook single-game record with seven goals, including the game-winner, versus Vermont in the Seawolves regular season finale.
