The Stony Brook University women's lacrosse team wraps up its non-conference schedule when it takes on Long Island-rival Hofstra on Tuesday afternoon. The Seawolves currently stand at 12-2 on the season and are coming off a 17-13 win over conference-foe Albany on Saturday.

Against the Pride
In last season's matchup on April 25, Kimberly Hillier and Casey McGrath each tallied six points as No. 17 Hofstra topped Stony Brook 16-8 at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium. Jill Gridley led the way for the Seawolves, netting a team-high three goals, while Kaitlin Leggio added a goal, two assists and five ground balls. Jen Sandtorv madeng eight stops in goal.
Last Time Out
The Seawolves closed out the game on a 6-0 run spanning the final 6:08 of the game to top rival Albany, 17-13, in a come-from-behind thriller at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Trailing 13-11 with 6:39 to play, the Seawolves rattled off the final six goals of the game to win their fourth-league game. The duo of Kaitlin Leggio and Diana Caroleo simply took over the game as the pair combined for five goals and an assist down the stretch. Leggio's free-position goal with 6:08 sparked the rally before she netted an unassisted tally with 4:42 remaining to knot the contest at 13 apiece. Caroleo rattled off three straight goals in a 2:43 span to give the Seawovles a three-goal cushion. Leggio found Amy Hallion open in front of the cage with 35 seconds remaining to seal the victory.Leggio finished the game with five points off three goals and a pair of assists while Carlee Buck added three goals and an assist in the victory. Caroleo and Celano each netted three goals in the victory. Jen Sandtorv made 13 saves in the game.

Quite a Trio
The trio of
Kaitlin Leggio,
Carlee Buck, and Amy Taylor have been sensational all year as they have paced the Seawolves offense. Leggio has a team-best 59 points off 30 goals and 29 assists. Buck has a team-high 33 assists and has recorded 55 points while Taylor has added 48 points, including 31 goals. Leggio ranks 18th in the country in points per game (4.21) while Buck is eighth in the nation in assists per game (2.36).
