Manhattan Edges Men's Tennis 4-3

The Stony Brook men's tennis team was edged by Manhattan, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at University Courts. The loss drops the Seawolves to 10-8 on the season.

Jan Krejci and Tal Meir teamed at No. 1 doubles to down Alan When and Zoltan Bus, 8-3, while Dave Kortum and Jon Gamberg earned an 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles to give SB the doubles point.

However, only Krejci (6-2, 6-2) and Mike Crooks (6-3, 6-4) were able to capture singles victories. Kortum (1-6, 1-6), Jean-Francois Robitaille (3-6, 6-4, 4-6), Gamberg (0-6, 1-6) and Matt Jacobson (6-7, 4-6) all fell on Sunday afternoon.

The Seawolves return to action on Saturday when they travel to Holy Cross to face New Hampshire and Holy Cross.
