Men's Soccer Falls to Northeastern 3-0

Boston, Mass. - Northeastern won its second consecutive match with a 3-0 victory over visiting Stony Brook in America East men's soccer action on Sunday afternoon at Parsons Field. The Seawolves fell to 2-7-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, while the Huskies improved to 5-4-2 and 2-1-1.

Joe Parrish gave Northeastern the 1-0 lead at 43:13 when he headed in a direct kick by Tom Heimreid.

The Huskies' next two goals came within less than two minutes of each other. Just under six minutes into the second half, Atha Kirkopoulos dribbled down the left side and put the ball between the defender's legs and fired the ball inside the far post to give Northeastern a 2-0 edge.

Daniel Ivec closed out the scoring less than two minutes later when he one-timed a cross into the back of the net to make it 3-0.

The Seawolves return to action on Wednesday when they play host to Albany beginning at 7:00 p.m.
